This document explains who produces the review of IG Markets published on igmabrokerpk.com and how that review is put together. It covers our testing and scoring method, the way readers can challenge what we publish, why the site exists and who it serves, how it is funded, and where the facts come from. It is an account of our editorial practice, nothing more.
The site is not the broker. It is not owned by the broker, not affiliated with it, and not endorsed by it or by any regulator. We do not open accounts, accept deposits, place orders, hold client money or give financial advice. Nothing published here is a recommendation to trade, and no page on this site should be read as one. If you are looking for a service provider, you are in the wrong place; if you are looking for an independent account of one, read on.
We review a single broker for a single audience, and we keep that scope narrow on purpose. The review is written for readers in Pakistan who want a plain account of what the broker offers, how it is regulated, what it costs and where the risks sit, before they make any decision of their own.
Test the Broker and Score It Openly
Every verdict on this site rests on a fixed set of checks that we run in the same order each time we revisit the review. We examine the licence and the regulator behind it, the legal entity that would actually hold a reader's account, the account types and minimum deposits, the fee schedule including spreads, commissions, swaps and inactivity charges, the platforms and order execution, deposit and withdrawal routes relevant to Pakistan, and the published terms on leverage, margin and client money. Where a claim cannot be verified from a primary source, we say so rather than filling the gap.
Scoring follows a published weighting. Categories carry different importance, each category receives a mark against defined criteria, and the overall score is the weighted result. We show the category marks alongside the total so a reader can see which parts of the assessment drove the outcome and disagree with the weighting if they wish.
We re-test on a schedule and after any material change we detect, such as a shift in the regulatory position, a fee change or a platform update. The date of the last review sits with the review itself, and older positions are corrected rather than quietly removed.
Let Readers Challenge What We Publish
Corrections matter more than defensiveness. If you believe a figure, a date or a statement on this site is wrong, you can raise it through the contact form on this site, quoting the page and the passage. We ask for the source you rely on, because a challenge backed by a document is resolved faster than one that is not.
We read every challenge, check it against the primary material, and respond. Where we got it wrong, we correct the text and note the change. Where the record supports what we published, we explain why and, if the point is genuinely contested, we add the reader's position to the page. We do not remove criticism of our conclusions simply because it is critical.
Readers can also flag anything that reads as promotional, unbalanced or stale. That feedback shapes the next review cycle.
Fund the Work Without Selling Verdicts
The site exists because readers in Pakistan face a great deal of promotional material about trading platforms and very little independent assessment written for them. It serves people comparing costs and protections before committing money, and it serves them by publishing one careful review rather than by pushing a product.
Running costs are met through commercial arrangements that are kept separate from editorial judgement. Advertising and referral arrangements may generate revenue when a reader follows a link, but no payment buys a score, a ranking, a favourable sentence or the removal of a criticism. Commercial partners have no sight of a review before publication and no right to change it afterwards.
Where a commercial relationship exists, it is disclosed on the page. Where none exists, we say nothing and let the review stand on its method.
Source the Facts and Check Them
Facts come from primary material: the broker's own legal and regulatory disclosures, the registers of the regulators named in those disclosures, published fee schedules and client agreements, platform documentation, and the terms governing deposits and withdrawals. We prefer a document we can cite over a claim we cannot trace.
Each factual statement is checked against its source at the time of writing and again at review. Figures are dated, because fees and terms move. Where sources conflict, we set out the conflict instead of picking the version that reads best.
We do not invent identifiers, addresses or contact details, and we do not publish a fact we cannot support. If a reader finds something here that fails that standard, the contact form on this site is the route to raise it, and we will deal with it.
